Oklahoma Responsible Alcohol Service, Seller-Server or Owner-Manager training as a part of its alcohol-licensing program is not mandatory, although it can significantly reduce the risk and liability associated with alcohol service. Dram Shop Liability
There is no formal Dram Shop Act for the state of Oklahoma. Instead liability has been established and imposed through case law. Court decisions uphold the standards regarding liability.
Nebraska has various laws regulating the legal age an individual needs to be to consume, sell, or serve alcoholic beverages and other regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. You cannot sell, serve or allowed to be sold or served any alcohol beverage to a person under the age of twenty-one at any time, regardless of whether or not they are with a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian permitting a minor to obtain alcohol is criminally liable.
The ABLE Commission enforces the Oklahoma Beverage Control Act, Charity Games Act, and Youth Access to Tobacco Act. The Commission is made up of seven commissioners each appointed by the Governor of Oklahoma and approved by the State Senate. To facilitate enforcement, Oklahoma is divided into four geographic divisions:
- Northwest District;
- Northeast District;
- Southwest District;
- McAlester District.
